CRCST Ready is run by Ready Exam Prep ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and a hashed password (we can't read it). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google account ID, nothing else.
  • Study activity: the questions you answer, your scores, flags, your exam date and daily goal, and messages you send to the AI tutor.
  • Free tests without an account: an anonymous ID in a cookie, so your result is there if you come back or sign up.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, payment status, and any company name or tax ID you enter for a receipt. We never receive your card number.
  • Usage and device data: pages you visit, clicks, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and recordings of how pages are used (with everything you type masked). This helps us find what's confusing and fix it.
  • Technical: your IP address and server logs, used for security, rate limits and fixing errors.
  • Email: messages you send to support@crcstready.com, and the password-reset emails we send you.

Why we use it

To run your account, show your progress and study plan, score your tests, answer support requests, prevent abuse, improve the site, and process payments and refunds. We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Who processes it

We use these service providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Stripe: payments.
  • Anthropic: answers the questions you send to the AI tutor.
  • PostHog: product analytics, session recordings and server logs.
  • Resend: sends password-reset emails and handles support email.
  • Google: sign-in, if you choose "Continue with Google".
  • Railway: hosts the site and database.
  • Cloudflare: domain and DNS services.

These providers may store data in the United States.

Cookies and similar storage

  • Needed for the site to work: a login cookie and an anonymous free-test cookie.
  • Analytics: PostHog stores an ID in a cookie and your browser's local storage to count visits and link pages to one visit. You can block these in your browser settings without losing access to the site.

We don't use advertising cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and study history, email support@crcstready.com from your account email address and we'll do it within 30 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months.

Children

The site is for adults preparing for a professional certification. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you as the law requires.
